Going online to the various R/C forums, message boards and communities can usually point you toward their For Sale and Trade section. These online communities are a good way to find people near you that have items for sale. When looking at these types of places for a used RC car, make sure you check the type of forum you're on. Another way to get cheaper used RC cars is to browse the online RC classifieds. Working like regular newspaper classifieds, they are solely for the buying and selling of RC related items. This helps you see more of what you are interested in, without having to sift through your local paper's offerings of a couch and gently used appliances. Local Hobbyshops
Some local hobbyshops will take in used vehicles or have some that have been left on consignment. Checking with ones in your area could net you the car, truck, or other vehicle of your dreams at a rock bottom price. Race Events
At some club events and at many of the larger RC events like the Psycho Nitro Blast, you may walk by pit areas that have local racers selling some of their old and used cars and items. When racers are ready to upgrade or get a new RC, many times they will set up a table at their local race events so that they are able to recoup some of the money they spent. By browsing around your club races, or by attending these larger events, you may come home with a nicely-priced used RC car that you've been looking for.
